The job involves project conceptualization in collaboration with the Process Engineering department for new projects. You will be responsible for developing Piping and Instrumentation drawings (PIDs) and finalizing the specifications of equipment/system/instruments. Your duties will include floating enquiries for the system/equipment/instruments, coordinating with the Purchase department for procurement, and inspecting the fabricated system/equipment/instrument at vendors" sites for approval. Additionally, you will be required to follow up with vendors/contractors, inspect engineering materials, and coordinate with the project implementation team. You will also be responsible for preparing validation documents to ensure compliance with QA requirements, implementing and adhering to safe work practices at the site, and executing the Emergency control plan. Keeping records under OHSAS & EMS system, observing unsafe acts and conditions for immediate corrective & preventive actions, and developing work procedures to minimize OHS risks are crucial aspects of the role. Providing training to subordinates as necessary, tracking schedules for all running projects, and assisting in capitalization of CERs in line with the finance team's time schedules are also part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to work in the absence of your superior and hold a B.Tech qualification.
