The Opportunity: Freelance Senior Consultant (Path to Country Director) This is a 100% freelance, project-based collaboration . You will be engaged for specific client mandates based on your expertise and geographic location. For high-performing consultants, this role is designed to evolve. Based on achieving agreed-upon budget and performance targets in 2025, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be appointed as Country Director starting in Q3 2026. Location: Remote, with a focus on local market expertise in your country of residence (Positions available globally, with high demand in: EMEA, APAC, North & South America ). Strategic Management: Consultants specializing in corporate strategy, business transformation, operational excellence, and organizational design. Digital Transformation in Regulated Industries: Consultants specializing in AI, RegTech, and digital process automation for banking, insurance, and government. Soft Skills Training: Executive coaches and trainers for leadership development, negotiation, cross-cultural communication, and change management. EU Funding & Public Affairs: Specialists in securing and managing European grants (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg) and navigating EU institutions. Financial Communication & Media Training: Experts in preparing C-level executives for financial communications, investor relations, and media interactions. Geopolitical Risk Advisory: Experts in analyzing political, regulatory, and macroeconomic trends to advise corporations on cross-border risk mitigation and strategic positioning. R&D and Innovation Support: Consultants with experience in managing R&D pipelines, technology scouting, intellectual property strategy, and securing innovation grants (beyond EU funding). Non-Profit & NGO Advisory: Specialists in governance, fundraising strategies, impact measurement, and international partnership development for the non-profit sector. Financial Advisory for Corporations & Entrepreneurs: Experts in corporate finance, investment strategies, wealth management, capital structure optimization, and financial planning for businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Your Profile Proven Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience in consulting, corporate leadership, or specialized advisory. Leadership Ambition: Demonstrated ability and desire to build and lead a team, with an eye towards the Country Director role. Local Guru: Deep, hands-on knowledge of the business, regulatory, and cultural landscape of your country/region. Academic Pedigree: Advanced degree in Law, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a strong plus. Network: An established network of local contacts in your industry. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter, comfortable working autonomously and managing client relationships. Language Skills: Fluency in English and the local language(s) of your country. Additional languages are advantageous. Availability: Ability to dedicate time to client projects on a flexible, per-mandate basis. Career Path: From Senior Consultant to Country Director (2026) Phase 1 (2025 - Senior Consultant): You will deliver high-impact projects as a freelance expert. Success will be measured by client satisfaction, project profitability, and your ability to generate repeat business in your region. Phase 2 (2026 - Country Director): Upon meeting defined performance and budget goals, you will be offered the Country Director role. This position includes: Leadership: Building and managing a local team of consultants. Business Development: Primary responsibility for growth and P&L in your country.
