The RAMP - Centre of Design Excellence (CoDE) at IIT Hyderabad is seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our team. CoDE represents a strategic collaboration between academia and the MSME industry, focusing on enhancing industrial capabilities through innovative design solutions. Leveraging the expertise of IIT Hyderabad's Design Department, a skilled team of designers, and state-of-the-art research labs, we aim to meet the design needs of MSMEs and startups in Telangana. Focus Areas of CoDE are as follows : New Product Innovations Sustainable Infrastructure and Smart Cities Emerging Technologies (UI/UX, VR, AR, MR, AI, etc.) Graphics, Branding, and Strategy Crafts, and Culture Film & Animation Responsibilities Collaborate with MSME's to deliver their specific design requirements that may encompass the above-mentioned focus areas Creative conception/design of event-related collaterals for CoDE Conduct craft documentation workshops on field Conduct skill development workshops Work deliverables will broadly include both design and operational work for the centre. Qualifications Mandatory requirements : Bachelor's degree in Engineering /Technology / Design / Architecture with at least 6 years of experience in design-related industries/companies.OR Candidates with a higher degree (e.g., Master’s and PG) in the above areas with at least 2 years of experience in design-related industries/companies . Specialisations can include but are not limited to Interaction Design/Product Design/ UI-UX design/Visual Design/Game Design/Animation/ Film /VR/AR/VFX. Additional / Preferred skills : Knowledge of programming and scripting(C++/C#, Unreal/Unity Python, Blender, 3D modelling & rendering tools).Knowledge of Adobe suite, Figma, Cinema4D, and other similar graphic design and animation tools.The candidate should have demonstrated expertise in the design and development of interactive systems, usability testing and field deployment of interactive systems Job details : Job location: IIT Hyderabad, Kandi, Telangana Job type: Contract hiring for a duration of up to 2 years Working mode: In-person work, candidates need to fully function at the CoDE office in IIT Hyderabad IIT Hyderabad has limited accommodation facilities, which can be provided depending on availability.
