As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems. This includes working on a wide range of components such as circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems to develop cutting-edge, world-class products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to develop solutions that meet performance requirements efficiently. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, the candidate should have 3 to 7 years of experience in Digital/Mixed Signal design and analysis. This role entails driving the design and development of complex DDR PHY IP for next-gen SoCs from inception to silicon. Key responsibilities of this role include: 1. Conducting critical path design and analysis for high-speed IP. 2. Performing cell profiling for advanced technology nodes. 3. Ensuring signal & power integrity through electrical spec signoff and mitigation. 4. Creating system specs and jitter budgeting (on-die + off-die). 5. Analyzing timing bottlenecks and making power, performance, and area (PPA) improvements. 6. Developing automation to expedite complex IP development processes. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for successful collaboration with various functions and domain leads on IP development and execution.
