Day-to-day, you ll work closely with teams across the business, including Industrial, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sourcing, Finance, PrXM s, and Quality, as well as limited interaction with external suppliers. You ll coordinate m tiers to implement changes in anticipation mode for first products (FOP), secure "Out of Sequence" implementation of changes, and prepare and execute retrofits. You ll specifically take care of maintaining configuration accuracy and ensuring all changes are effectively managed and executed, but also regularly track and report KPIs to keep stakeholders informed. We ll look to you for: Ensuring validation steps are achieved and impacts are collected (e.g., method time, workstation, parts identification, safety-related aspects). Leading stakeholders to deliver on commitments and defining recovery plans when necessary. Maintaining the change register/database in collaboration with the PrCCM. Managing parts availability and ensuring quality information in work orders. Coordinating changes in anticipation and out-of-sequence modes, including organizing and animating change execution meetings. Preparing and executing retrofits, including freezing batch perimeters and optimizing the sequence of work for changes. Job Purpose: The Project Manager Signaling & Telecommunication (S&T) is responsible for the smooth and effective execution of signaling and telecommunication packages within large-scale infrastructure or rail projects. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, safety, and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the smooth operation and overall execution of the project from initiation to completion. Define the objectives, roles, and responsibilities of all project stakeholders and draw up comprehensive guidelines for the execution of the contract. Chair and lead project meetings (e.g., progress reviews, design coordination, contractual reviews) to ensure cohesive action across all teams and partners. Implement corrective actions where deviations from schedule, scope, or quality occur, mitigating risks to project delivery. Act as the primary on-site representative of the project team to the customer, actively participating in project coordination meetings. Coordinate external relations with stakeholders such as customers, partners, operators, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progress and communication. Represent the project team in client-facing engagements such as: Monthly progress meetings Design and technical reviews Coordination and interface meetings Contractual negotiations Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, resources , and deliverables, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety requirements. Manage interface between different work packages and teams, ensuring alignment in technical integration and system handover . Support procurement, contract execution, and subcontractor performance management for S&T packages. Prepare regular progress reports and updates to internal leadership and client representatives. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related Engineering discipline (Master’s preferred). 15 to 20 years of experience in delivering signaling and telecommunication systems , preferably in the High speed rail, Rail , Metro, or large infrastructure domain. Proven experience in project management of complex technical systems involving ETCS L2, L1, CBTC, ERTMS, interlocking, SCADA, telecom infrastructure. Strong understanding of applicable international railway standards and protocols. Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage. Experience in working with multinational project teams and managing subcontractors and JV partners . Key Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interfaces simultaneously. Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent planning tools. Understanding of contractual frameworks (e.g., FIDIC) and risk management. High level of integrity, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance . Working Conditions: Based at project site or regional office, with travel to other sites or headquarters as required. May involve extended hours during critical project phases. Your new role challenging and future oriented Lead the design, configuration, and integration of CBTC systems in line with project requirements. Ensure that CBTC systems meet safety, operational, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, software development, etc.) and external vendors to integrate CBTC with other train control, signaling, and communication systems. Lead CBTC-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of engineers and technicians working on CBTC systems. Develop and track project timelines, achievements, deliverables, reporting progress to senior management. Lead testing and commissioning activities for CBTC-systems, including functional, integration, and performance tests. Address any issues identified during testing and work closely with multi-functional teams to resolve them. Ensure systems are stays in sync with local and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC). Provide technical support for the operational deployment of CBTC-systems, ensuring system reliability and fixing as needed. Lead root cause analysis for any operational failures or issues related to CBTC systems. Develop and implement maintenance and upgrade strategies for CBTC systems. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in train control systems, including CBTC, automation, and digital signaling. We dont need superheroes, just super minds Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Telecommunications, or a related field. Professional certification in CBTC or similar systems is a plus. At least 5-7 years of experience in CBTC systems, train control, or related railway signaling systems. Experience in managing or leading CBTC-related projects. Strong technical background in the design, integration, and testing of signaling and control systems. Expertise in CBTC technologies, including train-to-track communication, real-time data transmission, and system integration. Proficiency in relevant tools (e.g., simulation software, troubleshooting tools, and diagnostic equipment). Knowledge of railway operations, signaling, and communications standards. Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira). Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to of working effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong team-player with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
