Position Overview: The/Nudge is working with the Jharkhand State Livelihoods Promotion Society (JSLPS), Government of Jharkhand, to help increase adoption of the graduation approach/ economic inclusion program by targeting ultra-poor/ poorest of the poor, and other marginalized / vulnerable communities like PVTGs and women engaged in producing and selling country liquor. We are currently working with the Govt. of Jharkhand on a program focused specifically towards women engaged in production and sale of country liquor. As part of this effort, a Project Management Units (PMU) is set up at JSLPS, Ranchi, to help the Government of Jharkhand to design and implement this program through graduation approach integrated into the community institutions of JSLPS. This position is for the SPMU at Ranchi, JSLPS and will report to the Head of Operations. At The/Nudge Institute, you will: Provide leadership to The/Nudge s efforts in the state Should lead all operations and products concerning this program and cont. The role also includes documenting best practices from Jharkhand/ JSLPS and presenting/ sharing with other CSOs/ SRLMs/ DAY-NRLM/ Ministries/Organisations. Prepare high-quality reports and presentations based on field research and secondary data. Support strategy formulation for replication and convergence of successful livelihood models. Conduct occasional field visits within and outside Jharkhand for data collection and stakeholder engagement. Facilitate knowledge sharing and documentation to aid programme scaling and impact. Qualifications: Ph.D/ M.Phil/ Master s degree in Communication, Journalism, Social Work, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Business Administration, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of professional experience in the development sector, CSR, consulting, or related areas. Must have strong experience in report writing, documentation, content development, and case study development. Preferably with exposure to State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs) or similar large-scale rural development programs. Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and research skills. The/Nudge Institute seeks to engage an independent consultant to provide his/her expertise and support in conducting a two-month study on the work carried out as part of the projects of the Fellows of the Indian Administrative Fellowship working with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India. This study aims to document the interventions, process efficiency/ best practices, impact outcomes and value addition to the implementation partners in achieving their intended objectives due to the efforts taken by the Fellow during the Fellowship tenure. Objectives: 1. Document the Outcome: Evaluate the outcomes based on the intervention (throughout the Fellowship) activities conducted for their projects/ schemes by the Fellows on the target populations (program participants/ beneficiaries), focusing on the scheme/policy goals, beneficiaries economic empowerment, livelihood enhancement, and social inclusion. 2. Identify Best Practices: Document successful strategies and interventions that have contributed to positive outcomes 3. Highlight Challenges: Identify challenges faced during implementation including those faced by implementation partners and document them Scope of Work: 1. Literature Review and Desk Research - Conduct a comprehensive review of existing literature, policy documents, and reports related to the work of the Fellow. - Analyse the current implementation status, achievements, and challenges, the schemes face. 2. Field Visits and Data Collection - Conduct field visits to the sample sites chosen across geographies where the schemes are operational to gather firsthand insights relevant to Fellows work . - Use mixed-methods research approaches, including surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations to collect data from beneficiaries, stakeholders, and implementing agencies. - Ensure data collection methods are ethical, reliable, and valid and give data audit methods 3. Data Analysis and Reporting - Analyse the collected data using appropriate statistical and qualitative analysis techniques. - Prepare a detailed report highlighting the findings, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. - The report should be structured around the REESI+E framework (Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Sustainability, and Equity). 4. Stakeholder Engagement - Engage with key stakeholders: The/Nudge team, Fellows and others (Ministry, Implementation Agencies/Partners, etc) to gather diverse perspectives. - Presentation of final deliverables (report/slide deck) to The/Nudge team and the Fellows
