As a Data Scientist in our team, you will be responsible for conducting product assortment analysis, identifying trends and patterns in category performance, and providing support for new product launches. Your role will involve utilizing data and visualization techniques to offer actionable insights for store teams, territory, and district managers. You will also be designing and testing campaign effectiveness, analyzing cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and performing Market Basket Analysis. Additionally, you will be analyzing loyalty and customer data to create direct marketing campaigns and measure their effectiveness. Your ability to translate complex data insights into understandable and actionable information for non-technical and business teams will be crucial for this role. Requirements: - Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and machine learning. - Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and ML as well as Business understanding etc. - Prior experience in CRM, Loyalty, Customer, or Retail/CPG Analytics. - Familiarity with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, deep learning, reinforcement learning, evaluation metrics, feature engineering, model selection and validation, ensemble methods, and explainable AI. - Expertise in Category/Product Analytics, Store Analytics, Marketing and Promotion Analytics, and Customer Analytics. - Proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, or similar. - Excellent storytelling skills to explain complex data to non-technical/business teams. - Experience in analytics, preferably within Retail, CPG, or E-commerce domains. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
