Deputy Director - Category Planning - Offline Retail About Team The Category Planning team plays a pivotal role in maximizing Inventory Health and curating the ideal assortment for our customers. Positioned at the core of our operations, it fosters seamless collaboration with Category, Sales, and Supply Chain teams, leveraging analytics to drive informed decision-making. Moreover, the team collaborates with Product and Technology units to pioneer efficient and sustainable process enhancements. Roles and responsibilities Role: The proposed role is for planning lead for International Brands category. The role entails managing inventory and retail budgets (including OTB, densities, inventory health, and sell-through) to ensure timely stock deliveries aligned with approved capacity plans and store profiles to meet sales targets. Additionally, it involves effective brand/category planning and in-season management of assortments and inventory levels. The planning lead will work with the category team & sales team to drive key merchandising and strategic decisions that influence the category P&L Responsibilities: Category planner will be responsible for category specific planning activities on the following levels Annual / Long term plans - Preparation of AOP (annual operating plan), Creation of assortment plans and brand seasonal buys Monthly / Short term plans - Monthly target setting, inwards capacity allocation, OTB management in coordination with finance and category team Reporting & KPI management - Tracking category s key metrics - Top Seller Availability, STR, DOH, Ageing Allocation Planning: Collaborate with the Buying teams to develop allocation plans based on product demand, store performance, and seasonality. Stock Distribution: Allocate merchandise to stores based on sales forecasts, customer preferences, and product availability. Replenishment Management: Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders to always maintain appropriate stock levels. Closely work with central planning & supply chain team for inwards/storage capacities across warehouses Ensure optimum inventory placement across different fulfillment centers. Liquidation of aged and slow-moving inventory Drive projects and initiatives to streamline process and increase process efficiency Weekly/monthly/season performance review and analytics support to category managers Autonomously drive and iterate on key analyses to uncover insights leveraging existing and new information sources Bring together insights to develop well-rounded recommendations and help communicate them effectively Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate effectively. Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, fostering an inspiring environment characterized by open communication. What we are looking for: Skills Required: Strong problem-solving ability - The ideal candidate should demonstrate structured thinking, robust analytical skills, and a strong orientation towards processes. Strong in Data analytics -Should be highly proficient in Advances Excel (Must) Highly Action Oriented - At Myntra, we foster a culture that values proactive action and swift implementation. The incoming candidate should demonstrate ownership of projects from conceptualization through to execution. Ability to collaborate - Cultivate collaborative relationships with colleagues across departments and provide support to analysts within the team. Education and Experience Required: - Professional experience in e-commerce / Retail - Prior experience in retail allocation, merchandising planning, inventory management - BE/BTech/BFTech/BDes from Tier 1 institute & with a professional experience of 8-14 years or - MBA from Tier 1 institute & with a professional experience of 7-10 years

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools Knowledge of retail industry trends and consumer behavior.
