You are an experienced and dynamic Platform Services Lead responsible for driving operational excellence, service reliability, and platform enablement across the Data Platform and Standards Technology domain at HSBC. Your role involves ensuring the smooth, secure, and resilient operation of foundational data services supporting Data Catalogues, Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Retention, and Data Privacy capabilities. Your primary accountability will be defining and implementing service management, observability, capacity planning, and automation strategies to support enterprise-scale, compliance-critical platforms. You will oversee the health, availability, performance, and incident response for a distributed suite of services running across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. Your role is crucial in enabling the bank's data transformation strategy by ensuring the trust, reliability, and scalability of key data governance platforms used across all business lines and geographies. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end service delivery for core data governance technologies, defining service resilience strategies, establishing and enforcing SLAs and KPIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving adoption of automation practices, leading incident and problem management processes, overseeing platform change management, optimizing platform costs, partnering with Product and Delivery teams, and championing a culture of operational excellence. To excel in this role, you need 18+ years of relevant experience in technology service management, platform operations, or infrastructure leadership, preferably in data or governance domains. You should have proven experience in managing mission-critical platforms in hybrid cloud environments, a strong understanding of ITIL service management practices, experience with monitoring and observability tooling, familiarity with data management technologies, knowledge of regulatory and control frameworks, the ability to manage global teams and complex environments, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will be the Platform Services Lead for Data Platform and Standards at our company, taking on the responsibility for managing end-to-end service delivery and platform operations for core data governance technologies. This includes overseeing Data Quality, Catalogue, Privacy, Lineage, and Retention services. Your role will involve defining and implementing a service resilience strategy, covering aspects such as monitoring, alerting, capacity management, disaster recovery, and failover design. As the Platform Services Lead, you will be tasked with establishing and enforcing SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics across the platform estate. Collaboration with Engineering, IT Service Owners (ITSO), and Cybersecurity teams will be essential to embed observability, DevSecOps, and compliance practices within the platform. Driving the adoption of self-healing mechanisms, automated remediation processes, and infrastructure-as-code practices will be part of your responsibilities to enhance uptime and reduce operational overhead. Additionally, you will lead incident and problem management processes, which includes conducting root cause analysis, managing stakeholder communications, and implementing corrective actions as needed. About the role: We are looking for a motivated and curious Associate Catalogue Management to join our Global Procurement Enablement team in Navi Mumbai. In this role, you will support global procurement and supply chain functions by analyzing, transforming, and visualizing data. You will help deliver impactful insights and automation solutions that enhance procurement efficiency, drive decision-making, and support digital transformation initiatives. Role & responsibilities: Drive procurement digitalization by enabling and maintaining catalogues that support automation and a seamless one-click buying experience in Ariba. Collaborate with Contracts team, Spend Analysts, and Category Managers to identify suppliers, contracts, and frequently ordered items suitable for catalogue setup. Analyze spend data and free-text orders to prioritize catalogue opportunities and develop catalogue strategies for indirect categories. Manage end-to-end catalogue lifecycle, including supplier engagement, catalogue creation, updates, issue resolution, and expiration tracking. Monitor catalogue coverage and usage, identify leakage or system gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve catalogue penetration. Ensure functionality and usability of catalogues through testing and continuous improvement, while supporting process documentation and sustainability initiatives. Preferred candidate profile: Master’s or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field. 0–4 years of experience in Source-to-Contract (S2C) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, ideally with exposure to catalogue enablement or digital procurement platforms such as Ariba. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups); familiarity with tools like Ariba, Power BI , or other procurement/reporting systems. Ability to interpret and work with complex datasets to identify patterns, spot gaps, and support decision-making. Basic grasp of procurement workflows and the value of catalogues in driving automation and compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across global teams. Organized and meticulous, with the ability to manage catalogue data accurately and monitor ongoing catalogue health. Quick to grasp new tools, technologies, and processes; shows curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Understands the importance of user experience in catalogue usability and strives to improve the buying experience.
