Catalog Designer

As a Catalog Designer, your main responsibility will be to transform design concepts and complex product specifications into accurate, production-ready technical drawings (CADs) for catalogs. Your expertise in technical apparel design will be crucial in meeting the high-precision requirements for major retailers like QVC. Key Responsibilities: - Develop Technical Packages: Create highly detailed, accurate, and complex CADs and flat sketches for various apparel items, ensuring precise dimensions, construction details, and material call-outs. - Master Complex CADs: Handle intricate technical drawings efficiently, showcasing mastery in features like multiple functional pockets, zippers, roll tabs, and multi-layered details. - Technical Accuracy & Proportion: Utilize standard croqui to ensure all sketches and CADs are proportionally accurate and reflect bodily measurements correctly. - Design Translation: Interpret design inspiration and convert it into clean, standardized, production-ready flat sketches and technical drawings. - Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Document and enforce technical design standards, file organization protocols, and best practices for consistency. - Collaboration & Quality Control: Manage revisions effectively, maintain file organization, and ensure error-free technical documentation before submission. Qualifications: Essential Skills & Experience: - 2+ years of experience as a Technical Designer, CAD Designer, or Catalog Designer in the apparel or fashion industry. - Expertise in Adobe Illustrator for creating detailed technical flats and CADs. - Ability to work with precise measurements and proportions in a technical design context. - Understanding of garment construction, pattern-making principles, and fit. Preferred Attributes: - Experience in designing for e-commerce platforms or Wholesale clothing brands. - Strong organizational and time management skills to handle high-volume workloads and meet deadlines effectively.,
