Role & responsibilities To Manage & Support Company's (VERITAS) Backup Environment/Setup Backup Admin is primarily required to: 1) Monitor daily backup status, take required actions on failed/queued backups, as necessary & create/delete backup policies as requested. 2) Troubleshooting of backup failures. 3) Handle Tape Media Management. 4) Prepare Backup Reports / Review Backup Policies / Collection and Maintenance of Data required for Audit (i.e. Audit Data Logs) 5) Coordinate with Server Team / Application team as well as Backup vendor (SME) in case of issues unable to resolve locally. 6) Have knowledge of Backup Support required during Application DC-DR drills / BCP drill.
