Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineer - Design (Casting, Plumbing, sheetmetal domain experience using Creo skills) We are actively seeking two experienced Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineers - Design with 2 to 6 years of experience, demonstrating strong proficiency in Creo for designing diverse engine components. This multifaceted role involves working extensively on casting, plumbing, and sheet metal parts within engine assemblies. Your responsibilities will include creating complex 3D models, detailed assemblies, and associated 2D drawings using Creo. A strong knowledge of the product lifecycle is essential, as you will be involved from concept generation through to production support. You must possess a solid understanding of manufacturing processes related to casting (e.g., sand casting, die casting), sheet metal fabrication (e.g., bending, forming, welding), and plumbing systems (e.g., tube bending, hose routing). Furthermore, expertise in Design for Assembly (DFA) is crucial, ensuring that components are designed for ease of assembly, reducing manufacturing time and costs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including powertrain engineers, manufacturing specialists, and quality control, to ensure designs meet performance requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and cost targets. Your ability to troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions will be highly valued in this dynamic environment.

Good understanding of Transmission & Engine systems and components, Casting Structural components Expertise in modelling and detailing of complex castings using surface modelling techniques to develop core passages in Transmission, Lower powertrain, Engine components like cases, covers, manifolds, Torque converter housings, heads & blocks, Crankshaft, Camshaft, flywheel & housing, axle housing. Strong knowledge in GD&T. Pro E / CREO experience with background in casting and forging design, Modelling and Detailing. General understanding of complex casting components, gears and shafts. Any casting experience from foundry / forging industry will be an added advantage.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers for machined components, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance while aligning with company goals and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing: Identify and develop new suppliers for precision machined components (e.g., shafts, gears, housings, brackets). Conduct cost benchmarking and market analysis to achieve cost competitiveness. Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, analyze quotations, and negotiate with suppliers. Develop and implement sourcing strategies specific to machined parts based on business needs, volumes, and risk. Ensure supply continuity and alternate sourcing to mitigate supply chain risks. Vendor Development: Evaluate and onboard new vendors based on technical, commercial, and financial parameters. Conduct supplier audits (technical, quality, and capacity assessments).
