Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions efficiently using the cash register and POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries.
• Upsell products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Assist in stocking shelves and ensuring products are well-displayed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance the shopping experience.
• Knowledge of retail math concepts is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
