Job Description

As a Cash Operations Associate in Chennai with 4 to 6 years of experience, you will be responsible for executing daily operational tasks accurately and efficiently, supporting trade processing, resolving exceptions, and contributing to process improvements. Your role will require a strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within global teams. Your key responsibilities will include completing assigned cash operations tasks within established timelines, monitoring and escalating unresolved issues related to stock or cash discrepancies, serving as a resource for junior team members, managing workload effectively, handling client queries professionally, and maintaining adherence to internal procedures and controls. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing ideas to improve process efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance client service. To excel in this role, you should possess eagerness to learn and improve understanding of transaction and cash operations processes, ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, confidence in decision-making, strong organizational and time management skills, proactive ownership of responsibilities, and sound understanding of operational risks and compliance procedures. Additionally, you should have end-to-end awareness of the asset management lifecycle, willingness to mentor junior colleagues, effective problem-solving skills, clear communication with stakeholders, adaptability to changes, and a collaborative mindset to build strong relationships. In terms of required knowledge and experience, you must have experience using Aladdin, CTM, CLS, and SWIFT platforms, strong knowledge of global financial markets and trading practices, hands-on experience with derivatives, collateral management, and settlement processes, as well as an understanding of SWIFT messaging standards, corporate actions, and income processing. Exposure to OTC derivatives, attention to detail with minimal supervision, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel would be beneficial. Your skills should include asset servicing, transaction management, and trade finance operations. By fostering a collaborative team culture, maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, and committing to personal and team development, you will contribute to a positive working environment and the overall success of the cash operations function.,
