As a Rug Designer/Textile Designer based in Gurgaon, Haryana, with 3-6 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in designing new collections of rugs and carpets aligned with market trends and buyer preferences. You will be responsible for developing mood boards, color palettes, and design concepts, as well as creating production-ready designs using design software like Photoshop, Illustrator, NedGraphics, etc. Collaboration with sampling and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality will be a key part of your role. Your expertise in modifying and revising existing designs based on client and team feedback will be essential. It is important to stay updated on design trends, textures, and techniques in the global rug and home furnishing industry. Effective communication of ideas and concepts to internal teams and international buyers is crucial in this position. To qualify for this role, you should have 3-6 years of proven experience in rug or carpet design, preferably in export-focused companies. A strong understanding of weaves, textures, yarns, and production methods is required. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, NedGraphics, or equivalent is a must. Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, are essential.
