As a Cargo Services Officer at Cathay Pacific, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational and reservation functions at the port run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include overseeing suppliers to ensure compliance with Cathay service levels and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of safety during ground handling of aircraft, and achieving on-time performance. Your focus on customer service will involve supporting cargo reservations and bookings while delivering exemplary customer service, providing timely updates to customers regarding shipment status, and managing Ground Handling Agent performance. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as preparing flight documentation, reviewing post-flight documentation, and coordinating cargo service activities between various stakeholders. In addition, if applicable to your role, you may take on the responsibilities of a Ramp Coordinator (RCO) for Freighter ports, monitoring procedures carried out by Ramp Handling Operator and Cargo Terminal Operator, optimizing space utilization for loaded Unit Load Devices, and ensuring safe operations during loading and unloading of freighters. Ensuring compliance with safety, security, quality, and procedural requirements will be a key aspect of your role, along with participating in quality check programs and audits as required. You may also be involved in Emergency and Accident response responsibilities when needed. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in cargo or airline operations, with prior customer service experience being advantageous. Strong decision-making, planning, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
