Key Responsibilities: Staff Management: Recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of housekeeping staff. Cleaning & Maintenance: Overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Inventory & Supplies: Managing the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels. Policy & Procedures: Developing and implementing housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards. Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met. Budget Management: Managing the housekeeping department budget. Guest Satisfaction: Addressing guest concerns and ensuring a positive experience. Collaboration: Working with other departments (e.g., front desk, maintenance) to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Safety & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations and standards. Reporting & Communication: Reporting on department performance and communicating effectively with staff and management. Skills and Qualifications: Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within housekeeping, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting. Organizational & Leadership Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle guest concerns effectively. Knowledge of Housekeeping Practices: In-depth knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols. Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to housekeeping operations. Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
