In this role, your responsibilities will include daily operations such as Backup, Restore, and Archive tasks. You will actively monitor backup and archive jobs to ensure smooth operations. Managing Data Protection solutions like HYCU, Qstar ASM, SpectraLogic Stack, and NFS/SMB/S3 repositories will be a key part of your role. You will be responsible for ensuring backup integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and incident response. Restoring virtual machines, databases, mailboxes, and files will also be a crucial aspect of this position. Automation of backup scheduling and validation processes will be required to streamline operations. Additionally, you will manage the rotation for offsite media tapes for storage at vendor facilities. Troubleshooting backup-related failures, optimizing storage usage, configuring scheduled reports, and executing on-demand reports will also be part of your day-to-day tasks.
