The "Climate Change & Sustainability Services" team, which consists of over 200 consultants in France, 1800 in Europe, and more than 3000 internationally, is facing an unprecedented acceleration in the needs of businesses and public entities. As a result, our multidisciplinary teams are recruiting experienced professionals to help tackle these new challenges and turn them into opportunities. Our main areas of focus include: - Climate Strategy, carbon trajectory, and energy performance. - CSR Strategy (Long term value) and extra-financial reporting. - Sustainable products and brands. - Sustainable and responsible supply chains. - Social and environmental due diligences. - Audit and Verification of companies" extra-financial data. - Development and evaluation of public policies in the energy and environmental sectors. Position to be filled: Our Climate & Energy team is experiencing a significant increase in demand for assisting public and private sector clients in integrating Climate issues at the core of their corporate strategy. To meet this challenge, the team is looking for several Managers and Senior Managers. Your responsibilities: You will primarily be involved in selling and carrying out assistance and support missions for our clients. - Analysis of climate risks (physical and transition risks) and climate scenarios according to TCFD and IPCC. - Definition of climate strategies and certified carbon trajectories SBTi. - Operational implementation of decarbonization trajectories, identification of reduction levers. - Definition of renewable energy strategies and energy efficiency. - Carbon offset strategy definition. - Analysis of carbon-related issues in the value chain and in-setting. Throughout your experience, you will also actively contribute to the methodological development of our offerings and their visibility in the market. You will develop your skills, leverage your intelligence and imagination, and may participate in other missions of our team on Transformation and Sustainable Performance. Your profile: You hold a degree from a top Engineering School. You have at least 6 years of experience in a consulting firm specialized in energy transition, carbon footprint and strategy, climatology, or environmental issues. You possess excellent analytical and synthesis skills. You have experience interacting with operational management of private companies or public organizations. You have started to lead medium-sized teams. You have proven experience in client relations and project management. You are fluent in spoken and written English. Role & responsibilities Job Purpose :- We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Manager Carbon Project Origination to join our growing Sustainability team. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and originating carbon offset projects across India, Africa, and South Asia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carbon markets, sustainability, and financial modeling, with hands-on experience in developing nature-based and community-level carbon interventions. Key Responsibilities:- 1 . Project Origination & Lead Generation Scout and originate high-quality carbon offset projects in geographies across India, Africa, and South Asia. Build a pipeline of project leads through partnerships with NGOs, local communities, government agencies, and technical partners. Maintain a forward-looking strategy to align projects with future carbon market trends and regulatory frameworks. 2. Project Structuring & Due Diligence Conduct comprehensive due diligence including technical, environmental, socio-economic, and commercial assessments. Evaluate project feasibility, risks, and impact potential in alignment with international carbon crediting standards (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard). Ensure projects are structured for scalability and long-term carbon credit generation. 3. Project Categories Lead initiatives under: Nature-based Solutions (NbS): Afforestation, Reforestation & Revegetation (ARR), Mangrove restoration, Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) in paddy fields, etc. Community-based Projects: Clean cooking, safe drinking water access, decentralized renewables. Emerging Methods: Biochar and other innovative carbon removal technologies. 4. Investment Committee Readiness Own the end-to-end process of preparing investment memos and presenting high-potential projects to the Investment Committee for funding approval. Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, sustainability, and operations teams to ensure alignment and readiness. 5. Financial Modelling & Business Case Development Develop and manage comprehensive financial models that reflect all key project elements including capex/opex, revenue forecasts, carbon pricing scenarios, and payback periods.
