Caprae Capital Partners - Undergrad Private Equity Internship Job Description Caprae Capital Partners s is a private equity fund led by the principal Kevin Hong who has been a serial tech entrepreneur, and who grew two startups to $31M ARR and $7M in revenue. The fund originated with two additional tech entrepreneur friends of Kevin who have had ~8 figure and ~9 figure exits to Twitter and Square, respectively. The fund is now looking for additional opportunities that would be a good fit. If you have a passion for finance, particularly private equity, as well as ESG and happen to be a mission-driven person, this is a great fit for you Description of the Work Full-time, remote position with flexibility around time zones and work hours, as long as outcomes are met. Own the top of the funnel for Caprae’s private equity deal flow—sourcing and qualifying potential acquisition targets across industries like ITAD, MSPs, financial services, and healthcare. Build and manage outbound campaigns using tools like Apollo, Clay, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn to generate high-quality leads. Craft compelling, personalized outreach to business owners and executives, with a strong focus on thoughtful engagement over volume. Collaborate directly with the managing partners and investment team to refine targeting criteria, share market insights, and adjust leadgen strategy based on real-time feedback. Research industries and sub-markets to identify high-potential segments, understand key trends, and map out key players. Track, measure, and improve performance using data to guide prioritization and experimentation. Support initial calls and meetings by preparing backgrounders, call notes, and strategic talking points for executives. Act as an internal partner across teams , helping bridge the gap between origination, due diligence, and portfolio operations as needed. Ideal Candidate Undergraduate student with an interest in Finance, Private Equity, Sales, Business Development, or Market Research. Highly organized, coachable, and self-directed. Strong research, writing, and communication skills. Confident and professional when speaking to company executives and business owners. Comfortable using CRM and outreach tools, or willing to learn. Experience with or interest in cold outreach and outbound marketing is a big plus. Responsibilities Support Investor Accounts Serve as the primary point of contact for Caprae’s investor clients, especially those in the process of evaluating or acquiring businesses. Coordinate Diligence Activities Help facilitate smooth information flow between sellers, investors, and internal teams to ensure all diligence items and next steps are on track. Track Deal Progress Monitor acquisition timelines, investor activity, and deal milestones using internal systems and CRM tools. Provide Light Financial Review Assist with reviewing CIMs, financial summaries, and business profiles; coordinate follow-ups with internal finance or diligence teams. Maintain Accurate Records Update and manage investor-related data and communications in Caprae’s CRM and reporting tools. Ensure High-Quality Communication Help prepare investor updates, responses, and reports. Ensure professional, prompt communication that reflects Caprae’s reputation for excellence.
