As a key influencer in driving the Organisational Strategy for USCB Operations in the region, you will collaborate with the wider USCB Operations group across India and the US to ensure the achievement of key organizational deliverables in the areas of Transformation, Innovation, and Capacity Creation. Reporting to the MD of USCB Operations in the local region, your role will involve supporting the day-to-day deliverables of the USCB COO in the region and coordinating executive inputs and responses on behalf of the USCB COO. Providing leadership for teams in the Transformation, Capacity Creation, and Data Science domains, you will lead execution in the areas of innovation, transformation, and capacity creation. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the team in India continues to represent a growing value proposition for USCB in the region, and that the USCB operations meet financial and plan objectives. This hands-on assignment will be based in the Barclays Pune Office and will require coordination across the USCB COO leadership organization in the US and the Leadership for USCB in the local region. Flexibility in work timings across US and India time zones will be necessary, with work timings occasionally extending into the night (India timing). In this role, you will be tasked with managing operations within a business area, maintaining processes, implementing risk management initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulators. You will be responsible for identifying trends and opportunities to improve areas, developing new processes and procedures through the monitoring and analysis of operational data and performance metrics. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business operations, promote alignment with the bank's objectives, and manage operational professionals to enhance delivery quality. Furthermore, you will be expected to manage and develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operation functions, utilize data and technology to identify areas for improvement, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to customer experience, and create a safe environment for colleagues to provide feedback. Working closely with HR, you will implement retention initiatives to manage attrition within the workforce. As a Director, you will provide significant input to function-wide strategic initiatives, influence policy and procedures, manage critical strategic projects, and lead a large team or sub-function. You will be responsible for resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation, escalating breaches of policies and procedures, fostering compliance, and monitoring the external environment to influence decisions on behalf of Barclays. Additionally, you will demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division and maintain up-to-date sector knowledge to solve complex problems and make strategic decisions within your area.
