As a Soldering Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and soldering electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) in adherence to specified guidelines. Your role will involve executing both SMT and thru hole hand component soldering to IPC standards. You will lead the forming of various types of electronic parts using a combination of hand tools and automated equipment for PCB assembly. In this position, you will be proficient in working with both leaded and lead-free solder, and possess the ability to interpret resistor color codes and capacitor values. Your advanced understanding of PCB assembly drawings, ECNs, and assembly instructions will be essential for ensuring accurate assembly processes. You will utilize a range of electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools to carry out your responsibilities effectively. Moreover, you will demonstrate expertise in PCB assembly processes, including component installation sequence of thru hole components. This role also involves reworking, repairing, and modifying printed circuit boards and/or assemblies to meet specified requirements. Additionally, you will provide guidance and training to junior Soldering Operators and maintain department-specific records.
