As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Oil & Gas projects, you will be responsible for designing Electrical Distribution Systems across various voltage levels adhering to international standards. Your primary duties will include preparing Design Basis, Load lists, Cable schedules, Single Line Diagrams, and schematics. You will conduct Equipment sizing calculations for Transformers, Generators, Cables, and other components. Additionally, your role will involve performing lighting calculations, Earthing, and Lightning Protection assessments using software like Dialux. You should have hands-on experience with System Studies software such as ETAP or SKM to model electrical systems, conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection relay setting studies. Your responsibilities will extend to creating technical specifications, data sheets, and RFQs for Electrical Equipment. You will review technical offers, vendor documents, and drawings, ensuring compliance with project requirements. Collaboration is key in this role as you will coordinate with various disciplines including Designers, Architects, and Engineers. Your expertise will be crucial in providing technical guidance for Layout designs of substations, lighting, and other electrical systems. A Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university along with 9-11 years of relevant experience in Electrical design for the Oil & Gas sector is required. Familiarity with design software like Dialux, ETAP, and computer proficiency in MS Office are essential.
