RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing Air Freight operations commencing from obtaining bookings, till delivery at destinations and forwarding of pre-alerts. Comprehensive knowledge of information that goes into document preparation ie MAWBs, HAWBs, CANs, Dos, LABELS etc. Verification of customer data from invoices / Shipping Bills and transfer of data to document. Obtain rectifications from Shippers / CHA in cases of discrepancies. Scrutiny, verifications and signing of HAWBs. Routing of MAWBs. Customer relations - handle queries and provide logistics solutions as required by customer. Email communications and networking with international offices. Implementation of customized SOPs for key accounts- Walmart, Richline, Sears. Knowledge of procedures related to special shipments : TIB, Carnet, Exhibition etc. Amendments to MAWBs and Manifest, familiarity with procedures of export shipments, including obtaining authorization from Shipper for bearing costs in relation to following non - standard situations : for eg --- Shipment not uplifted --- damage to package or seal --- Transhipment --- call back of shipment from overseas --- Bar code label interchange --- shipment forwarded to incorrect destination Airline bookings, relations with airlines, scrutiny of CSRs received from airlines. Reports and MIS as per Customer s and Management requirements. TASK SKILLS : Time Management Monitoring & Control Coordination Planning & Organizing Planning for contingencies Provide solutions Communications BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS : Customer Relations Leadership Assertiveness Stress Management AGE : 28-35 Years. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :Graduate with minimum 8 years experience in International Air Freight Operations out of which 3 years must be in a supervisory position. Candidates from the Valuable Cargo Industry would get preference. Possession of valid DGR license will be an added advantage.

Key responsibilities Communication with Finance team related to the customer payment/ Vendor payment as well as Outstandings Communication with Sales team regarding new enquiries, customer details, negotiations with pricing etc. Communication with Branches regarding any new shipments, helping them with the agent details, helping them in operations. Communication with HCL for sending final pre-alerts, shipment arrival and DO releasing. Communication with local customers informing them about their shipment status and arrivals, sending CANs Invoice copy, etc. Communication with outsourced clearing agents for custom clearance both inbound and outbound clearance, arranging necessary documents for clearance etc. Communication with O/s agents about shipments status, departure and timely arrival, asking them to send their invoice Desired Candidate s Profile Skills Operational Knowledge of Air Export Import process. Good rapport with airlines airport authorities. Good communication skill both verbal and written English. Knowledge of Incoterms. Ability to work independently and use own initiative Market knowledge Freight Forwarding knowledge, especially within Air Freight Should have negotiation skillsGood software skills (Ms-excel)
