Job Overview: As the Camp Manager at Camp Monk Vasind, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the campground’s operations, ensuring a seamless, safe, and memorable experience for every guest. You will manage day-to-day activities, staff, logistics, guest relations, and property maintenance while upholding Camp Monk’s nature-first ethos and commitment to hospitality. Key Responsibilities:Operations Management:Supervise daily operations of the campsite, including accommodation, activities, and events.Oversee check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries, ensuring smooth and efficient guest experiences.Manage campsite logistics such as inventory, supplies, and equipment.Ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintaining high standards for guest safety and property upkeep.Staff Leadership:Recruit, train, and manage on-site staff, including guides, housekeeping, and support personnel.Create staff schedules, monitor performance, and ensure that all team members deliver exceptional service.Guest Experience:Be the primary point of contact for guests, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.Design and coordinate activities, including guided nature walks, campfire events, workshops, and other recreational activities.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining the quality and cleanliness of the campsite.Property Maintenance:Monitor and maintain the campsite facilities, including cabins, tents, common areas, and amenities.Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and regular maintenance of the property to ensure everything remains in top condition.Financial Management:Oversee the camp's budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.Prepare and submit reports on the camp’s performance, including occupancy rates, guest feedback, and financial metrics.Sustainability Initiatives:Uphold Camp Monk’s commitment to environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices at the campsite.Engage guests in nature-first activities that promote conservation and responsible outdoor living. Guest Relations & Front Office Supervise and manage smooth check-in and check-out processes Maintain up-to-date guest records and ensure special guest requirements are met Handle guest complaints and feedback with professionalism and prompt resolution 2. Housekeeping & Maintenance Coordinate and monitor daily housekeeping schedules and standards Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas Report and follow up on any repair or maintenance needs 3. Food & Beverage Operations Supervise kitchen operations to ensure hygiene, quality, and timely service Coordinate with the cook and service staff for meal planning and inventory Ensure dining areas are well-maintained and service is prompt and courteous 4. Staff Coordination Manage a team of housekeeping, kitchen, service, and security personnel Allocate duties, ensure discipline, and conduct basic training as required Maintain duty rosters and ensure staff attendance and performance 5. Security & Safety Monitor camp security and ensure guest and staff safety protocols Liaise with security personnel and address any incidents Conduct routine checks of fire safety and emergency procedures 6. Inventory & Supplies Track inventory of consumables (linen, toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc.) Coordinate procurement and maintain stock levels efficiently 7. Reporting & Compliance Maintain daily logs for guest occupancy, maintenance, and housekeeping Prepare weekly/monthly reports on camp operations Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and hospitality standards
