We are seeking a Telecom Integration & Development Engineer with strong experience in telecom core networks and hands-on development to design, build, and deploy a new Entitlement Server supporting SIM-based silent authentication. Unlike purely architectural roles, this position requires practical setup of environments, backend coding, and integration with operator-grade systems. You will work closely with backend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver a carrier-grade platform. Role & responsibilities Set up and manage development, lab, and test environments (containerized and cloud-based). Develop and configure backend modules/APIs enabling SIM/eSIM-based authentication flows (EAP-AKA, fallback). Integrate with HSS, AAA, UDM, and PCRF systems, including use of simulators (Open5GS, srsLTE, freeDiameter). Create automated test suites (unit + integration) and ensure 7080% coverage of core functions. Implement DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana). Support internal validation and operator UAT, including troubleshooting in real-world operator testbeds. Prepare production-ready deployment packs (Helm charts, docker-compose, automation scripts). Collaborate with security teams on penetration testing, threat modelling, and performance benchmarks. Preferred candidate profile Strong telecom systems or core network software experience. Hands-on backend development in Java (Spring Boot), Python, or Go. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab). Practical knowledge of telecom authentication flows (EAP-AKA, SIM-based auth). Experience working with HSS, AAA, or IMS systems in telecom environments. Familiarity with GSMA TS.43 standards and 3GPP protocols. Ability to set up, debug, and troubleshoot telecom test environments. Security awareness: threat modeling, penetration testing, and data protection schemes. Bonus Points For Experience with 5G Core or GSMA Open Gateway APIs. Experience deploying software in operator-grade testbeds. Hands-on with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Prior work on entitlement servers, provisioning systems, or SIM authentication flows.
