ARAI, Pune is a premier Automotive Research Institute, with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, involved in R&D, Homologation, Testing & Certification, Calibration & Skill Development services to Automotive and Allied industries globally. We are looking for the following position for our Passive Safety Laboratory: PSL Designation: Project Specific Research Engineer (Mechanical Sled testing) (ARAI Contract) 1 Nos. Location: ARAI – HTC, Chakan Work Experience: min. 2 – 3 Years working in Sled testing The candidate should be Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (D.M.E) or Diploma in Automobile Engineering (D.A.E). from reputed College with good record of academic career with relevant experience of 2-3 years in crash laboratory, MS Word, Excel, Power point operational skill good oral communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi. Candidates should possess necessary skill sets mentioned in below job description. Job Description: To Work under supervision of Engineer for complete test preparation as per SOP Responsible for various test preparation activities for BIWs, Seats, Batteries, Ambulance Stretcher, Interior Fittings, etc. Responsible for carrying out Seat measurements acc. ECE R17/R21. Must have experience of operating 3D Portable CMMs – FARO, Hexagon Must have experience of operating Photron PFV4 software and setting offboard and onboard high-speed cameras Responsible for mounting of measuring equipment such as cameras, data acquisition systems etc. as per SOP Independent execution of various type of Sled tests and recording of test data using CALSPAN Drive system. Conduct periodic preventive maintenance of the test equipment as per PM procedure. Responsible for loading, unloading and maintenance of Decelerator. Preparation of various Type approval reports using CMVR TAS system independently. Motion analysis of Luggage retention test Soft skills : Knowledge of MS office, Good communication skills Other requirements : Willing to work in Shifts, Good track record if already employed. Age: Not exceeding 30 years Languages Preferred: Marathi, English Experience/Skills: 2-3+ years of experience in above fields with good communication skills, knowledge of MS office.
