As a Machine Setup and Programming specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting intricate e drawings and blueprints to determine machining parameters and tool selection. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and editing CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to define cutting paths, speeds, feeds, and tool changes. Additionally, you will be tasked with setting up CNC turning machines, which includes chucking, workholding, and tooling according to specified requirements. Ensuring precision and efficiency in machining processes is paramount. You will monitor machining operations during production runs, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards. In the event of machine malfunctions or errors, your troubleshooting skills will be put to the test as you take corrective actions promptly. Conducting in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools will be part of your routine to guarantee that parts conform to specified tolerances. Quality control is a key aspect of this role. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive final inspections of finished parts to verify dimensions, surface finish, and overall quality.
