As a valued member of BR Designs, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the collection, inspection, and segregation of diamonds and gemstones. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our luxury jewellery pieces. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting job sheets and diamonds from your supervisor. You will carefully read the job sheets to understand the requirements for diamonds and gemstones. After that, you will collect the specified diamonds and gemstones from the supervisor. Following the collection process, you will meticulously bag the diamonds and gemstones. This will involve using pins to pick up the diamonds and gemstones, inspecting them for quality, segregating them based on shades, and counting and weighing them to match the requirements outlined in the job sheet. You will then separate the necessary diamonds and gemstones with matching shades and place them in a bag. Additionally, you will label the bag according to the instructions provided in the job sheet. In this role, you will also be responsible for reporting any issues related to the diamonds and gemstones. This includes discrepancies in the number and shades of the diamonds and gemstones, surface defects, and shortages. Your attention to detail and ability to identify and communicate such problems will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of quality. To excel in this position, you should have at least 2-4 years of relevant experience in handling costing, pricing, and inventory management with a reputable jewellery company. Experience working with Gatisoft-SmartJewelTech (ERP) will be considered an advantage. A minimum of a graduate degree in any subject is required, with preference given to candidates with a B.Com background and strong math skills.
