Reviews and approve vendors documents Evaluate pipe flexibility and stress analysis. 15. Measure the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, thermal cycle loads and wind. 16. Select proper springs for necessary support. 17. Analysis capabilities for Jacketed Piping system, FRP Piping system, Expansion joints piping system etc. 18. Analysis capabilities the considering the effects of the modular design and transit phase, static & differential structural deflections associated with fabrication, lift, transit and site installation. 19. Evaluate Stress, Displacement, Forces and moments on restraints for support design and Evaluate piping loads with in allowable allowable nozzle loads. 20. Nozzle Flexibilities (WRC) and Stresses. 21. Flange Leak Check. 22. Dynamic analysis capabilities including modal, harmonic and response spectrum analysis. 23. Data sheet preparation for Expansion joints, spring hanger data sheet and updating the Pipe support standards 24. Stress analysis report preparation. Work Experience 1. Engineering Degree or equivalent(Mechanical) 2. At least 7+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry or Power Generation sector; 3. Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English 4. Experience with Auto Pipe and Caesar II software 5. Experience with detailed design project (EPC) execution 6. Experience of working with various ASME/ API/ NEMA/ TEMA/ ASTM, IS codes and standards as well as various PMC standards. 7. Conversant with stress analysis of piping connected to various types of equipment like Column, tanks, exchangers, pumps/ compressors/ reactors etc. 8. Job Title: Piping Stress Analysis Engineer Location: Pune, India Department: Engineering Reports To: Manager Engineering Experience Required: 812 years Industry: Water/Wastewater Treatment | EPC | Engineering Design Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Piping Stress Analysis Engineer to lead and execute piping stress analysis activities during both bid and detailed engineering phases. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant piping designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities Piping Stress Analysis Identify critical lines from P&IDs and line lists. Review piping layouts and ensure flexibility and code compliance. Perform static and dynamic piping stress analysis across multiple load cases (thermal, sustained, seismic, wind, water hammer, relief, etc.). Analyze piping systems connected to equipment such as pumps, compressors, exchangers, tanks, heaters, etc. Provide pipe load data to Civil/Structural teams. Design and select appropriate pipe supports, spring hangers, struts, and expansion bellows. Evaluate local stresses using applicable code cases (e.g., WRC 107/297, N318, N392). Review piping isometrics for flexibility and support adequacy. Prepare and maintain comprehensive stress analysis documentation. Coordination & Support Interface with vendors and procurement teams for stress/surge analysis requirements. Support project delivery teams during engineering and execution phases. Provide technical input during bid preparation related to piping stress analysis. Address and resolve field issues concerning stress and flexibility. Quality & Process Improvement Contribute to the development of design guidelines, templates, and standard documents. Participate in lessons-learned sessions and support continuous improvement efforts. Follow applicable safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. Key Requirements Education Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) Diploma in Piping Engineering or certifications in stress analysis (preferred) Experience 8–12 years of piping and stress analysis experience in industrial/process plant design, especially water or wastewater treatment. Strong command of CAESAR II software for stress analysis. Experience with both metallic and non-metallic piping systems . Familiarity with membrane-based technologies, reverse osmosis, and reuse/recycle water treatment plants (preferred). Knowledge of 3D plant design tools (e.g., E3D, PDMS, SP3D) is a plus. Experience in EPC projects or Oil & Gas industry is advantageous. Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to coordinate with cross-functional and international teams. Good verbal and written English communication. Willingness to travel as per project needs.
