You are invited to apply for the position of Design Engineer (Wiring Harness - 3D Design) at GNS located in Bangalore. As a Design Engineer, you will need to have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate should hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical engineering. Your primary responsibility will include working on the 3D design of wiring harnesses, focusing on automotive low voltage wiring harness requirements. You will be involved in the design and development of low voltage wiring harnesses, ensuring compliance with design guidelines such as connector selection, clips, splices, grounds, protections, and packaging. Additionally, you will apply manufacturability principles, Design for Assembly, and integration knowledge to the wiring harness design process. It is essential for you to possess expertise in CAD/PLM tools, particularly hands-on experience in Wiring Harness 3D routing creation using UGNX in both 3D and 2D formats. Knowledge of other automotive electrical and electronic commodities, as well as high voltage wiring harnesses, will be advantageous. Familiarity with electrical components like Fuse boxes, Junction boxes, power distribution centers, etc., and experience in creating and reviewing Wiring Harness 2D drawings are required. Furthermore, having a good understanding of schematics, circuit design, GD&T Tolerance, and the ability to apply them effectively in your work will be beneficial.
