Software Proficiency: Proven expertise in Autodesk Plant 3D; CADMATIC or similar; familiarity with working with point clouds is essential. Standards Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31.1, B31.3, API, etc.). As a Design Engineer at TechCalibrants, you will collaborate closely with the design team and clients. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed 3D design models and drawings using Ship Design software such as Cadmatic, as well as understanding detailed production design for piping outfitting. You will be expected to have a solid grasp of PFDs, P&IDs, procurement specifications, and be proficient in preparing isometrics, arrangements, and 3D models for various stages of marine and offshore platform projects. Moreover, you should possess a good understanding of international piping standards, piping components, materials, and be familiar with engineering standards like API, DIN, ASME, BS / EN. Your tasks will also involve reading and interpreting P&IDs, piping material specifications, and construction standards, as well as handling bill of materials and weight calculations. We are currently seeking a Marine Hull Structural Draftsman to strengthen our office in Kochi, India. As a Marine Hull Structural Draftsman with us, your primary responsibilities will include creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of ship structures such as hulls, decks, bulkheads, and foundations. You will be tasked with developing assembly and fabrication drawings for shipyards and contractors, as well as modifying and revising designs based on Engineering calculations and client feedback. Collaboration with Naval Architects and Structural Engineers will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing material specifications, cutting lists, and bill of materials (BOM), reviewing and checking technical drawings for accuracy and completeness, and ensuring that all drawings meet shipbuilding and marine industry standards. It will also be your duty to maintain detailed records and documentation for project reference and coordinate with shipyards and suppliers to ensure the feasibility of structural designs.
