The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving the overall manufacturing process by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and materials. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining work standards within the HarbisonWalker Business Systems (HBS) criteria. Additionally, you will manage a small plant maintenance force and set up routine inspections/performance metrics, interface with operations, management, and customers, and modify, design, or create new products, tooling, and equipment. Your role will involve implementing new programs that enhance processes within the maintenance department utilizing Lean manufacturing principles and analyzing process efficiencies. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and have knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and LEAN Management principles. Proficiency in MS Office and CAD/Drafting skills is required, along with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential, along with two (2) to four (4) years of industrial manufacturing engineer experience.
