The role of Software Developer at our company involves working closely with the Optimization Engineering team to design, develop, and maintain custom software tools and digital platforms that support optimization initiatives across various engineering domains. As a Software Developer, you will contribute to lead time reduction, material and weight savings, process efficiency, and chemical composition optimization by creating intelligent, data-driven solutions. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with mechanical/electrical engineers to understand optimization goals, designing and developing software tools and dashboards, automating workflows, and visualizing engineering data. You will also be involved in validating and refining existing algorithms within the Optimization System, integrating digital platforms with CAD/CAE systems and PLM tools, and providing recommendations for tool integration. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or JavaScript is required, as well as knowledge of .NET frameworks. Experience with data visualization tools, simulation libraries, CAD/CAE integration, APIs, and manufacturing systems will be beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate engineering requirements into software solutions are essential for this position. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in spoken and written English is also necessary.
