CAD SPPID - Draftsman

The CAD SPPID Draftsman plays a crucial role within the organizational structure, directly reporting to the Head of Department Process. In a project setting, your main responsibility will be to efficiently carry out work packages using the relevant drafting tools. Collaborating with Process Lead Engineers, your aim is to ensure the timely delivery of work within the contractual framework, maintaining quality, adhering to schedules, and optimizing overall cost-effectiveness to achieve project objectives successfully. Your general duties will include ensuring the quality of drafting aligns with job manual and QA checklist requirements. Demonstrating the ability to work within project timelines with minimal supervision is essential. Proficiency in drafting tools such as SPPID, AutoCAD, and Smartsketch is expected, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility to meet project deadlines. In terms of project control and coordination, it is imperative to communicate project deliverable status and progress to the Lead Engineer. Keeping track of man-hours spent and documenting any changes to the original scope are vital components of the role. Additionally, possessing domain knowledge in drafting new PIDs, adhering to standards, and generating reports for MTO and Line List is essential. Education requirements for this position include an ITI/Diploma in Engineering, while work experience in EPC or detail design engineering companies within sectors such as Air Separation Unit, Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, and Petrochemicals is preferred. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of relevant experience and an intermediate level of proficiency in English.
