We are looking for a Technical Director - Highways to join our growing team in India and collaborate with our US/Canada counterparts on technical delivery, focusing on highways/infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in US standards such as ASSHTO and multiple DOT regulations, with expertise in the Design and Build Environment. It is desirable for the candidate to hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in any part of the United States or Canada. As a Technical Lead at Arcadis, you will play a key role in delivering major projects, leading large projects and supporting multiple countries or service lines. You will be a recognized subject matter expert, influencing the growth and quality deliveries of the Global Excellence Centers (GECs). Your responsibilities will include leading the design and production of major highway and multidisciplinary projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams, interacting with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the technical delivery of projects meets quality, budgetary, and health and safety targets. Key Accountabilities: 1. Supporting Pursuits: Evaluate pursuit opportunities and contribute insights on capacity and capability. Streamline decision-making processes for pursuing projects. 2. Bid Writing Assistance: Enhance bid writing capabilities and ensure proposals meet quality and consistency standards. 3. Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Facilitate communication between different disciplines and collaborate on compelling proposals. 4. Resource Acquisition Support: Identify resource needs for projects and coordinate with departments or external partners for resource acquisition. 5. Knowledge Transfer Assistance: Support knowledge transfer initiatives and ensure best practices are shared among teams. 6. Team Mentor: Develop regional teams and oversee competence and quality through a robust Quality Management System. 7. Major Projects: Handle and deliver Design & Build and State DoT projects, lead multi-disciplinary projects, and contribute to project reviews and resource management. Qualifications & Experience: - Masters in Transportation/Highway Engineering. - Minimum 15+ years of experience in Infrastructure Design Consulting industry. - Proficiency in written communication and bid writing processes. - Familiarity with industry standards and service offerings. - Strong organizational and coordination skills. - Internationally recognized professional qualification. - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
