The CAD Engineer opportunity involves CAD developments, including 3D modeling, 2D drawing preparation, and implementation in PLM software. As a CAD engineer, you will collaborate with design and engineering teams for product development and maintenance. Your role will have a significant impact by providing technical support during product conceptualization, maintenance, and improvement. You will be responsible for developing 3D models using part modeling, assembly, and other supportive modules. Additionally, you will create 2D manufacturing drawings and general arrangement (GA) drawings. Specifying manufacturing process parameters by defining material, GD&T, and surface finish will be crucial. Furthermore, you will evaluate geometry through tolerance stack-up analysis, stress analysis, and motion simulation to ensure quality standards. Process efficiency will be enhanced by utilizing customizations and pro-programming techniques. CAD database management and maintenance in PLM software will also be part of your responsibilities. Providing technical support to the platform development team by performing CAD parameterization and assisting in design optimization projects using cost engineering techniques are essential contributions. To be successful in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of experience in CAD developments using commercial software. A minimum of 2 years of working experience with PTC Creo and Windchill PLM software is required. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, forging, and fabrication is essential. Familiarity with global standards based on material specifications and manufacturing tolerances is also necessary. Additionally, knowledge of measurement tools and techniques, jigs and fixtures, quality control, DFMA, FMEA, etc., is beneficial. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is a must.
