CAD Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and development of our products, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create precise and innovative drawings. The CAD Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of designs and contribute to the overall success of our projects. Responsibilities: CAD Design: Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical and electrical components. Develop accurate and comprehensive technical drawings, schematics, and layouts. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and company specifications. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CAD designs into overall project plans. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of CAD models and drawings to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies. Verify designs for functionality, safety, and adherence to project specifications. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design specifications, changes, and project updates. Create and update documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and design documentation. Communication: Effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to team members and stakeholders. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback. Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in CAD technology. Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the efficiency and quality of design processes. Qualifications: bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical , Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or a similar role. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced proficiency in multiple CAD tools. Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. Knowledge of simulation and analysis tools. Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
