Key Responsibilities: Undertake detailed mechanical engineering design for complex building projects. Prepare technical schedules and ensure documentation accuracy. Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently and in team-based settings. Broad building design knowledge gained from working on varied projects. Strong Excel skills (including macros). Mechanical expertise with good understanding of electrical concepts and their impact on overall project delivery. Awareness of other disciplines such as architecture, structural, and civil engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Hevacomp software. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.

Key Responsibilities: - Lead primary substation design projects in collaboration with the Arcadis Australia Power Team, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards and promoting technical excellence. - Utilize engineering expertise to develop preliminary and detailed designs for high voltage primary electrical infrastructure, including substations, power stations, wind farms, and solar farms. - Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as reports, proposals, presentations, and drawings, working closely with the Brisbane Power Team. - Design HV transmission and distribution substations, including layout planning, plant specification, and coordination of civil design. - Conduct earthing system analysis and design activities. - Take ownership of detailed engineering documentation preparation and provide technical oversight to the power team members. - Ensure compliance with codes and standards by preparing document and drawing packages for project design submissions. - Conduct internal reviews and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to meet project requirements. - Manage project components, allocate resources, supervise subcontractors, and oversee analysis and design production to ensure quality and client satisfaction. - Identify opportunities for re-engineering strategies to enhance design profitability and pursue new project prospects. Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum of 20 years of experience in substation primary design, preferably in a consulting environment. - Proficiency in producing CAD documentation according to Australian Utility Standards and other international design norms. - Ability to perform cable thermal rating studies and design using CYMCAP. - Proficiency in developing complex earthing and induction models using CDEGS earthing system software. - Experience in developing maintenance strategies, commissioning plans, and related documentation.
