CAD Designer

ob Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join Jewelbox. The role involves creating precise and innovative 3D CAD models for fine jewellery, ensuring designs are both aesthetically appealing and technically feasible for production. The ideal candidate should have strong design sensibilities, a deep understanding of jewellery manufacturing, and proficiency in CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models of jewellery pieces (rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.).
• Develop design concepts based on briefs, market trends, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with merchandisers, designers, and production teams to ensure designs are practical for manufacturing.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and renderings for approval and prototyping.
• Ensure accuracy in stone placement, metal weight, dimensions, and structural feasibility.
• Maintain a digital library of CAD designs and design iterations.
• Work with vendors and craftsmen to resolve technical challenges in design execution.
• Stay updated with the latest jewellery design trends, CAD technologies, and industry innovations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CAD Designer in the jewellery industry (minimum 2–4 years preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, or 3Design.
• Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, including casting, stone setting, and finishing.
• Knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and jewellery components.
• Ability to create realistic renderings and presentations.
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Jewellery Design, CAD Designing, or related field.
• Experience in both fine jewellery and lightweight/daily wear collections.
• Familiarity with 3D printing and prototyping processes.
