The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing 2D/3D models, detailed drawings, and design documentation for lithium-ion battery packs, modules, and associated components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in mechanical design, thermal systems, electronics, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Design 2D and 3D CAD models of battery enclosures, modules, and components using software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and GD&T annotations. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and thermal engineers to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and performance. Support rapid prototyping, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly) efforts. Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, interference checks, and material selection. Revise designs based on feedback from testing, manufacturing, or suppliers. Maintain document control and version management using PLM or PDM systems. Work with suppliers to ensure technical drawings meet manufacturing standards and specifications. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input during product development stages.
