As a Technical Lead Costing Engineer in the Metal Machining domain within the Cost Performance Engineering (CPE) group at Lam Research, your role will involve collaborating with product groups in Bangalore, the US, and Europe. You will be responsible for developing accurate cost models for metal machining commodities, identifying cost improvement opportunities, and driving down costs of components and assemblies. Your expertise will be crucial in maximizing the value of Lam's new products, particularly in the metal machined parts sector. Your responsibilities will include executing should costing for complex metal machined components used in wafer fabrication equipment, influencing design for manufacturability and cost, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive cost and quality improvements. Additionally, you will be involved in vendor visits, new product development, and cost reduction projects, while guiding existing Costing Engineers and documenting best practices in CPE processes. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in production, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering with 5 to 15 years of relevant industry experience. Strong knowledge of metal machining manufacturing processes, materials, and alternate manufacturing methods is essential. Proficiency in problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in various manufacturing methods are also required. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the semiconductor industry, costing techniques, exposure to CAD applications, supplier management, and project management tools. Job Title : CAD/CAE Support Engineer Location : Bengaluru (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities: Provide Level 1 & 2 support for CAD/CAE applications like NX, Delmia, ANSYS, Hypermesh, Vis-Mockup, JT, and LS-PrePost. Troubleshoot installation, licensing, file corruptions, performance issues, and integration errors. Support CAD data handling including conversion, JT creation, and visualization workflows. Assist engineers in solving model issues, file compatibility, and version-related conflicts. Guide users on best practices, modeling techniques, and simulation data management. Collaborate with infrastructure and PLM teams (e.g., Teamcenter) for CAD-PLM integration support. Prepare support documentation, SOPs, FAQs, and training materials. Perform regression testing and validation for software updates and patches. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
