5 - 10 Years of experience in wastewater/water industry. Design (Concept, FEED and Detail Design) of Electrical Distribution Systems for - Low Voltage, High Voltage Electrical system Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment process and related engineering works-Pumping Stations, Desalination etc Prepare Design Basis, Load list, Cable schedule, Interconnection Schedule, Single Line Diagrams, schematics, Bulk MTO. Perform Equipment sizing calculations e.g. Transformer, Generator, HV/LV Cables, AC UPS, Capacitor Banks Perform indoor Lighting, outdoor area Illumination and Street Illumination in Dialux or vendor software, calculations for Earthing and Lightning Protection. Hands on experience of System Studies software like ETAP/SKM/Amtech Experience in modeling electrical system and carry out load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protection relay setting studies Qualifications B.E./M.Tech. (preferred) in ElectricalEngineering field from a recognized university. Professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country or be in active pursuit of such registration. * Overall 8+ years of work experience is preferred. * Previous experience in HV Cable OEM design teams working for Grid Utilities (for e.g., National Grid, Transgrid, Powergrid etc.,) for Underground HV Cables design is highly desirable * Expsoure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred * Previous design experience working with CYMCAP or other similar software tools for EHV/HV AC and DC Cable Ampacity calculations, EMTP Calculations and modelling expertise is highly desirable * Chartership with IET-UK or equivalent is desirable * Very good communication skills (Oral and Written) in English language is mandatory Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepares technical specification sections. Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment. May involve the installation and operation & maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Discipline concerning power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, electric service and supply systems, lighting systems, communication service and supply systems, fire alarm and detection systems, control systems or electrical installations. An electrical engineer focuses on designing, maintaining and improving products that are powered by or produce electricity.
