With a strong collaboration with manufacturing and product development teams, you will be responsible to: Develop Product and Process data preparation in Virtual Manufacturing systems Perform Assembly Digital Mock Up (ADMU) simulations for technical concepts developed by product development teams Support Virtual Build reviews and managing the issues from the project builds Promoting usage of Virtual Manufacturing systems in Technical Preparation, developing those systems and their related processes Develop Technical Preparation Engineer skills for product projects Role & responsibilities Technical competencies: Dassault: 3DEXPERIENCE platform CAD tools: DS Catia, PTC Creo Parametric, PLM system: PTC Windchill Simulations systems: IPS IMMA , Cable simulation & Path planner, IC.IDO & Creo View Microsoft tools: Excel, PowerPoint Manufacturing Engineering competencies: 3D Layout Awareness on BIW processes Experience in Robotics operations / Industrial robots Assembly sequence Product / Process technical knowledge CAD Product documentation Ergonomics knowledge Engineering competencies : PLM Data management for Manufacturing (eBOM, mBOM, Process Plans) Preferred: Volvo Engineering Database and Product Documentation Management: EDB, KOLA Preferred: Hands on experience with 3D Layouts We also hope that you: Have personal interest in technology Have an open multi-cultural mind-set Are a network builder and have good communication skills Have good organizing and negotiation skill Are business and customer oriented Have ability to take initiatives and lead them Location: Bangalore Travel required: occasional Preferred candidate profile We want you to have: BE/BTech in Mechanical / Electrical engineering degree or equivalent Minimum 5 years of automotive experience from engineering or manufacturing involved in Virtual Manufacturing Activities Good understanding of vehicle modules structures in Chassis / CAB areas Good knowledge of vehicle development Process Perks and benefits
