Job Summary:

We are seeking a Modular Product Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D production drawings and issuing them for manufacturing. You will work on a variety of modular interior components, including kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, and other furniture components. This role requires strong technical knowledge of modular furniture production, proficiency in CAD software, and the ability to ensure precision in design and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate 2D production drawings for modular furniture components, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Issue final shop drawings and cutting lists for manufacturing and coordinate with the production team.
• Work closely with the design, production, and installation teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
• Optimize designs for efficient manufacturing, minimizing material wastage and production time.
• Maintain and update a library of modular product designs and specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings before issuing them for production.
• Assist in developing new modular products and customization options based on market trends and client requirements.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and experience with other design software like SketchUp or SolidWorks is a plus.
• Strong understanding of modular furniture manufacturing processes and materials.
• Knowledge of hardware, joinery techniques, and production methods for modular kitchens, wardrobes, and interior furniture.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and convert them into precise production details.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multiple departments.

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (Required)
