Job Title: Technical Business Analyst Job Location: Hyderabad Experience: 6-8 years Responsibilities The Business Analyst acts as a conduit between business stakeholders and the software engineering squad. The role translates business objectives into clear, testable requirements, applies disciplined critical thinking to uncover real problems, and ensures that delivered solutions achieve commercial value. Problem framing and critical thinking: Lead discovery sessions to separate symptoms from root causes. Challenge assumptions using data and techniques such as Five Whys, impact mapping and event storming. Restate each requirement as an outcome with measurable success criteria. Requirement elicitation: Run research activities such as workshops with relevant parties to define system requirements Produce low?fidelity wireframes, flow charts or sketch diagrams on the spot during meetings to clarify ideas where required. Maintain a lightweight library of templates for common screens and process flows Requirements management: Elicit, analyse and document functional and non?functional requirements as user stories, acceptance criteria and process models. Run refinement sessions with the Software Development Team, validating queries with business subject matter experts and stake holders to reduce development-related uncertainties. Own a living backlog in Azure?DevOps, ensuring traceability from business goals to deployment. Ensure backlog prioritisation and sprint readiness Stakeholder engagement and communication: Facilitate workshops across business and technical audiences, translating domain language into requirements, technical detail and viceversa. Provide concise updates that highlight decisions, risks and open questions. Keep stakeholders aligned on priority, updates and scope changes. Build trusted relationships that encourage candid feedback around requirements and requests. Solution evaluation and testing support: Define acceptance test scenarios and collaborate with QA on automated test coverage. Validate delivered features against success metrics and raise change requests where gaps exist. Analyse production data and user feedback to recommend iterative improvements. Continuous improvement and governance: Champion the maintenance of documentation and analysis practices aligned with software engineering standards. Contribute to retrospectives, updating templates and checklists with lessons learned. Support audit and compliance requests by supplying accurate requirement artefacts. Experience And Skills Required 6-8 years as a Business Analyst in custom software development, ideally within a Microsoft Azure environment. Proven ability to run discovery from first workshop to signed?off backlog. Hands?on experience with modelling tools such as BPMN, C4 and user story mapping. We are looking for end to end solution architect who can understand the business requirements and provide a high level solution across various platforms. Good understanding of API and Microservices along with Microservices patterns. SQL and NoSQL DB AWS or other cloud platform awareness Pub-sub, event driven architecture, etc. Understanding of domain driven design. C4, Archimate (Good to have but not mandatory) The JD is as below: Key Deliverables: Own delivery of solution architecture and technology designs for core function programmes Own and manage relevant the architecture governance and controls for the programme - CTO, CSO and CDO Own and manage relationships with the Programme or Project Manager, Product Owner and Business Analyst for the assigned programme Oversee Technical Product Ownership for Core Functions Support the development of wider systems strategy and plan for the supported business area Development and support of junior team members. Stakeholder Management and Leadership As Technical Leads on Core Functions programmes, the applicants will be required to engage with Business Product Owners and Core Functions Teams for project delivery and business analysis. They will own the relationship with Technical Governance Stakeholders - CTO, CSO, CDO. Decision-making and Problem Solving The role requires the ownership and clear articulation of business / technical challenges, structured evaluation of potential solutions, including external market and internal options. Driving out decisions and business requirements that aligns to internal policy, external regulation and supports the architectural, resilience and non functional requirements processes Risk and Control Objective Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards. Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications: Solution Development - Extensive experience creating fit for purpose technology solutions that are deliverable, meet business need, and correspond to organisational strategic guidance IT Architecture Substantial experience of application integration and implementation issues and their architectural implications. Excellent understanding of best practice architectural and design methods along with the appropriate governance and controls Technical Knowledge - A very good broad understanding of a wide variety of technologies pertinent to Barclaycard, with notable substantial knowledge and experience in specific technology areas. Stakeholder Management - Able and confident to challenge stakeholders creatively and professionally to create solutions which meet all of the above criteria but which are not necessarily obvious responses to pre-defined requests. Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications: Project Delivery - Understands different project methodologies, project lifecycles, major phases, dependencies and milestones within a project, and the required documentation needs. Vendor Evaluation – Ability to understand how and where third part products could be deployed. Good knowledge of vendor evaluation and selection best practice. Planning - Experienced with planning, estimating, staffing, organising, and working on multiple projects. Has monitored and dealt with critical paths and risks areas Service Delivery - Good understanding of concepts of service delivery and support and how this can be affected by technical delivery
