As a Senior Technician / Designer specializing in Highways at our global design center, your role involves working as a Designer / CAD modeler on Transportation projects focusing on Highways, Aviation, Drainage, and Land Development. You will utilize your technical skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with C3D tools. Experience with highway and aviation projects in the Domestic sector is necessary, with exposure to projects in ANZ/ASIA/Middle East/UK/USA being desirable. Additionally, your soft skills are crucial, encompassing proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), effective communication, and IT skills. You should be a self-starter with a drive to enhance automation in CAD processes. Experience in creating CAD layouts for Highways, Aviation, and Drainage projects is essential, with familiarity with ProjectWise considered a plus. You should possess a deep understanding of highways design hierarchy, models, Data Shortcuts, and drawings, along with the ability to review models and drawings created by others. Your reporting will be to the CAD Manager/Lead Engineer, and you should have the ability to plan work effectively, communicate within a team, understand Highways design cycles, create accurate technical drawings and schematics, interpret conceptual designs, and suggest modifications. Strong organizational skills, the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to ensure compliance with regulations are crucial. Expertise in 3D modeling, math skills, and a willingness to learn and understand Federal Aviation Regulations are essential. Qualifications required include a Diploma in Civil Draftsman, with a preference for a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or a degree.
