Job Description

You will be joining BMC as a C++ Specialist in Development & Maintenance, working with the Control-M product line - BMC's orchestration and automation platform. In this role, you will be part of a new engineering team responsible for product R&D support and patch development efforts. Your main responsibilities will include: - Being part of a new engineering team focused on product support and patch development for mission-critical software. - Developing, testing, and implementing diagnostic tools and processes to enhance product performance. - Contributing to patch development cycles, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance. - Taking ownership of specific technical tasks and driving them to completion with a sense of urgency. - Continuously learning and contributing to the growth of the team through sharing knowledge and best practices. - Working cross-functionally to ensure software quality meets customer expectations. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in a similar role. - 3+ years of experience in C++. - Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS. - Deep understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle). - Result-driven, problem-solver at heart. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. While not mandatory, the following skills would be beneficial and our team can help you develop them: - Experience with Java. - Experience with messaging systems (Kafka or similar). - Experience working in an enterprise product-based company.
