Buyer, Lead

As a Buyer at Lam, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process by analyzing purchase requirements, coordinating purchasing activities, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory. Your expertise in processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and quotes (RFQs) will contribute to the efficiency and competitiveness of Lam's procurement on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing purchase requisitions, managing request for quotes (RFQs), and purchase order changes. - Building and maintaining ongoing supplier relations to support the Lam business. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner. - Ensuring data input and integrity within enterprise-wide systems (ERP) for procurement business. - Performing cost analysis and volume planning for commodities. - Monitoring subcontracts to negotiate the highest quality at the best value. - Interacting closely with suppliers to review and manage performance, deliveries, and quality. - Supporting commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience. You should have excellent computer skills, deep knowledge or experience in ERP or MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and strong communication skills in English. Preferred qualifications include experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries, foundational understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data, and prior experience in managing supply chain requirements.
