Dear Candidate, Greetings from Sanmar Group! We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Accountant at our Chennai location. We are seeking candidates with 8 to 15 years of experience in a Plant Accountant role, with a qualification of CA. As a Business Accountant at Sanmar Group, your responsibilities will include maintaining accounts and MIS reporting in accordance with Sanmar Accounting policies. You will play a crucial role as a member of the Business Team in achieving the Business Plan, managing Financial and Capital Budgets, and finalizing accounts and audits including Internal, Tax, and Cost audits. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring statutory compliances such as Income Tax, GST, etc. Key Responsibilities: - Accounting & Audit: You will be responsible for maintaining accounts in line with Accounting Standards, overseeing Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, and Tax Audit processes. You will also be involved in making decisions on Make Vs Buy and Non-moving & slow-moving stock disposal. - MIS: Timely and accurate submission of MIS requirements to the Corporate and Business team, including Stock and debtors statement and QIS. - Finance: Managing funds and submitting periodic returns to banks. - Statutory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with GST, Excise, Sales tax, and Income tax Acts, and timely submission of returns. - Business Responsibility: Coordinating with all stakeholders to achieve business plans and targets. Ideal candidates should have 8 to 15 years of experience in financial and accounting functions, preferably in a manufacturing setup. Experience in MIS, Audit, Taxation, Corporate affairs, and compliance with Indian Accounting Standards is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring a proper internal control system.
